Does that sound scary?
It's not!
We are influenced by our surroundings, both physically and energetically. Energetic protection doesn't mean cutting ourselves off from life; but rather allowing space to experience more of what brings joy and growth, less trauma and drama!
Does that make sense?
Well--try it, you'll see!
It's easy.
There's a couple of steps to it: Clearing, Grounding, Centering, then Protecting.
Clearing is like having a shower--gets rid of the dust and clutter of the day; clears away that which you no longer need.
Next comes grounding; which is basically being present in the here and now. It's the only way you can accomplish anything!
Centering means having your focus come from within you, where your power is. Often we place our attention on what others are thinking or doing; trying to influence their perception of us. You can't change others thoughts or actions; only
your own!
Finally-protection. It's about choosing what you want to experience and not about being closed off and fearful. When you feel safe you are more open to positive events and interactions.
Time to practice!
Here's some simple techniques. Try them, see what works best for you. The most important thing is your imagination and intention.
Clearing:
-Imagine having a shower in white light. Imagine the light actually passes through your body, cleansing it internally.
-Visualize a beam of white light like a vacuum above your head; sucking up everything you no longer need.
-Breathe in white light. Bring it into all parts of your body.
*Ask to release anything which no longer needed for your highest good. (i.e. pain, sorrow, old memories, etc.)
Grounding:
-Can be as simple as feeling your feet on the ground!
-Imagine gravity becomes super powerful.
-Visualize tree roots growing out from the soles of your feet into the center of the earth.
-Intend to connect with the center of the earth.
Centering:
Place your attention in your solar plexus. Then imagine moving your awareness into your heart. Stay there for a moment (or as long as you like) then bring your awareness into your forebrain, behind your eyes. Begin to notice how often your awareness is not coming from within!
Protection:
-Imagine you are in a blue egg.
-Visualize the light within you. Expand this outwards to create your bubble of protection.
-Surround yourself with a cloak of protection.
-Call on higher help to protect you.
The possibilities are limited only by your imagination!
Remember that you can set the permeability of your protection. If you are feeling vulnerable or are in a crowd of people, you might want to increase your level of protection. It's totally up to you. Experiment with what works best.
Use these techniques (or whatever you come up with) in the morning to get ready for your day and before you go to bed at night (you'll sleep better!), as well as any time you feel you could use a little help.
And most importantly; HAVE FUN!
